Sarah Palin's Clothes

Sarah Palin is in the news again after accidentally bringing some of the $150000 wardrobe the GOP bought her home to Alaska. According to her father she is frantically rummaging through everything she owns to sort her JC Penny pant suits from the clothing bought at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. This is no easy task as from the exterior the clothing is very similar. This problem is made more difficult, according to Poppa Palin, because children tend to lose their underwear so it is nearly impossible to account for everything. i understand completely as I recently lost a pair of underwear that cost me 1500.

I'm trying to figure out if this was sarcasm or truth. However, if you really did own a pair of $1500 underwear, I'd probably ask you for a loan. ;)

Its a joke. 1500 yen is about 12 bucks

Well I don't know about paying all that money for clothes. If those close did cost that much, she better keep them seperate. She could probably sell them on E-Bay and make a pretty penny. Then go back to JCPenney and buy more!
Underwear... who buys those anymore... doesn't everyone just get them at yard sales like me. haha Just Kidding!

Yeah...I think the whole 150,000 wardrobe was a pretty big mistake from the get-go....she's supposed to be conservative, so be conservative! Obviously, if she's having that hard of a time telling between the ultra expensive and the regular, there can't be that much difference, ergo, there's no advantage to wasting 150,000 of money people donated to advance the republican party!

Don't get me wrong. I think 150k for three months worth of brand new outfits that are of a fair enough quality for someone running for vice president is reasonable.
Seriously I bet some lawyers make 500k a year have a wardrobe worth that much.
I mean the excuse making regarding returning it is farcical. So is the fact that they could misplace a large amount in the form of underwear!
Undergarments are expensed. They have no resale value. Unless you are a Japanese school girl but I'll talk about that another time.

Spending 150k on clothes for a presidential VP run I think is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the campaign itself.

My only question is how much of it could she possibly have lost? I mean come on. Ok I'll give you the underwear...and I'm not sure I even want to know where the thought on the Japanese school girl is going.

I agree. I think for me the only thing that struck me about the news is the father's attempt to say they had returned everything save some underwear. Not to mention when the story first broke Palin said it would all be donated to charity and then she brought it home.

spending 150k on clothes is alot of money. Probably a very small chunk of the campaign itself. Espically clothes for a VP Canidate.
