Changes

Well I am not going to sneak it passed you so we might as well confront it.

I have updated the layout. There are some financial gadgets on the side. I thought a currency converter would be useful to understand the posts and the other two are of interest to me so I assume they are to the people who are reading my posts.
They come with the baggage of advertising which apparently will relate to the articles and be able to distinguish the meaning not just key words. Not sure if that is true because earlier I was shelling for a group I was mocking in a post (Scientology).

I was also thinking of putting an RSS feed down the right side under the gadgets. It would be for The Economist. I know some of you read the magazine in its print edition and others would likely find it interesting, but do not think to check the page.

Let me know if you would like the RSS feed and if you are completely annoyed by the right side.

I figure if The Who sellout why can't I?

UPDATE: I just went and added the RSS feed for the Economist and one for The Japan Times too.

UPDATE 2: I added a Best of Craigslist RSS too. Its quite funny. Thanks to Brycey for showing it to me.

I was looking at the junk you put on the right side of the page. First of all:
Good job adding the best of craigslist. The greatest gain for humour in the last century has been putting a computer in front of idiots around the world. Secondly:
When looking at the junk on the right, I saw one of those Google ads. I have never really spent much time analyzing these ad boxes because they usually get automatically filtered out by my subconscious, much like a Mazda commercial. The first thing I noticed that I thought was interesting was that the ad had up and down arrows representing 'next ad' and 'previous ad'. We seem to have reached a new high (or low) in the era of mass commercialism whereby people now have the option to view advertisements like television channels. Discuss.
Secondly, part 2:
One of the Google ads for the NDP read "Do you trust Harper? It’s time for a PM who’ll put your family first. Donate now." I've said it before, but I find it interesting that the political parties- mostly the NDP I suppose- have adopted things like Facebook and Google ads as a vehicle for their message. It's a perfect way to target youths. Discuss.
Thirdly:
Add a generic comments section. What if I want to leave a sarcastic comment not directly related to a specific post?
Lastly:
While being hungover today, I was envisioning what would make me feel better with great haste. My solution does not exist in the market place, or at least not to my knowledge. Would you like to invest in a new breakfast beverage product called Bacon Thirst, for people who need bacon on the go. I was also considering the name BaconShake. If you're slow, it's a play off of Shake 'n Bake. You know people would buy it.
Bonus:
Why are you not wearing a shirt in your display picture? Either put a shirt on, or show the full torso- nipple rings and all. Bonus points if you are vandalizing something Japanese.

While Bryce thanks to you for that. You showed it to me and I figured why not through the RSS feed for it too. Some humour, some J-news and some Economists seems like a lethal dose.
Well Google ads are supposed to be highly targeted and the text reading algorithms are supposed to be intelligent but lets look at some I have seen:
NDP (even though I compare Layton's appearance to that of a cartoon character)
Scientology (even though I say I hope it is a giant scam because if the people at the top believe it that is just stupid).
As for flicking through I am not sure why it is like that? May be because they know people like you will flick through them and they get more exposure.
Obama, May, McCain all use Facebook. A good targeted demand is necessary to get the 18-30 crowd. We are more likely to download tv and not see the ads, we are less likely to vote, we haven't accepted the lies yet and so they need to find new channels to get out our vote.
I will look into the general comment gadget. I'll see if I can find out.
Why am I not wearing a shirt? Same reason I am not wearing one now. I live alone so who am I trying to impress?
As for the full view. Add my friend Shannon on facebook. She has the goods.

oh and if it is a play on shake n bake, why not just call it shake'n'bacon?

While not wearing a shirt alone is fine, not wearing one on your blog is like not wearing one in a house full of your friends. Granted, we have all witnessed shirtless you before, but what if an unsuspecting searcher accidentally comes across this site? Think of the children.

The point of calling it BaconShake is that it'd be a breakfast shake of bacon, thus BaconShake. Shake'n'bacon makes less sense. It makes Scientology sense.

are you questioning my RQ?

what about like a a bacon slurpy?

I though of that, but I was thinking it would have to have the consistency of Egg Nog. In fact, Egg Nog wouldn't be a bad base for it as eggs are also a breakfast time treat. Of course you'd have to cut down the Egg Noggy flavour, but you get the idea.

baco'n'egg nog? I might actually drink that.
